How You Eat Matters: Start with These Simple Wins

When most people think about nutrition, they picture rigid meal plans, expensive supplements, or giving up everything they love.

That’s not how I coach.

The truth is, most people don’t need a total diet overhaul—they just need a few consistent upgrades. And if you stack those small wins, your body starts changing fast.

Here are the simple nutrition wins I focus on first with clients:

  • Eat real food. If it grows, walks, swims, or flies, it's probably a good choice.
  • Cut back on liquid calories. Soda, sugary coffee, and alcohol add up fast.
  • Eat enough protein. Aim for 1 palm-sized portion per meal minimum (most people need 100–150g/day).
  • Add fiber. Fruits, veggies, legumes, and seeds keep you full and help digestion.
  • Tighten your feeding window. Late-night snacking and constant grazing spike insulin and mess with sleep.

None of these require perfection. But all of them move you forward.

Your nutrition doesn’t have to be extreme. It has to be consistent.
And the right habits, done long enough, will outperform the “perfect” plan every time.
